The room was very clean and minimal. It could have done with a lamp on the desk or wall as you were in the dark when making a cuppa or writing. Lack of bench in the bathroom was a little frustrating. Overall, very comfortable, clean and convenient.
Paper thin walls and noisy corridors made for a very, very uncomfortable stay. It is basic with no parking on the street at all. Rooms were clean but very basic
Great location. Lots of facilities just across the road. Very convenient (with major supermarkets and food court just across the road). Room is very clean. Facilities are very basic but for the amount of money that I paid it's definitely great value.
friendly services and good location, clean room as well
Great spoot for our purpose. Easy parking, easy to find. Definately stay there again if needing to be in Dandenong. GREAT Chinese Restaurant across the road!!!!!
Very pleasureable stay, with very attentive staff. would definitely recommend.
Excellent. Will be back here again. Clean room. Right opposite plaza. The reception girl was AWESOME.
We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada. So close to shopping centre and public transport. Under cover secure parking was an excellent bonus. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent and very friendly. No request was an inconvenience to them and was attended to immediately. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Found the room probably one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.
Excellent location. Very happy with staff especially at reception. Disappointment at cafe being closed during part of the day but due to the hotel location there was no problem going to the nearby cafes and tasting their continental cakes. Once again a great location especially with regards to the trams to the CBD and suburbs. We are very happy to go back there again
Everything was fine, clean room, comfy bed, big TV, tea making fridge, bathroom was fine, quiet room, free parking. But it was a bit soul-less and cold, nothing to make it stand out from the rest, everything pale and cold. Maybe it is just for me that this was a bit of a let down. I guess for that price I expected a bit more, at least breakfast included.
Room ok but bit like a upmarket backpacker hotel. reception has no tourist brochures or information. room has no fridge and is ok but basic.
The room was small but it was well furnished and very clean. The car parking was one floor down and locked shut at night- I found it a great place to stay if I don't need to be in the CBD. Dandenong has everything a visitor needs and the Ramada is bang in the centre of it. The staff were super helpful and friendly.
This Hotel is worth bottling. I hope it never looses it's current 'flavour'. It's a gem to find such polite, helpful staff who make you feel like you're with friends. They can't do enough to make one comfortable and relaxed. Always smiling and friendly. Spacious comfortable rooms and very quiet, it's just a wonderful place to stay. Bus stop out front , but you won't need it much, as there's plenty of shopping across the road, including a theatre, and it's a short walk to the Dandy market. I forgot to mention their dining is great value too. Thanks, I'll definitely return.
Great quality for the price paid. This hotel is much better than similar priced ones around the area.
Had a great stay at the Ramada. Fantastic location opposite the shopping centre. Restaurant could not be faultered! Beautiful food and the staff were excellent! Well done Ramada Encore Hotel Dandenong!
What a gem of a Motel. Friendly, helpful staff always happy to assist. Lovely accommodation at high standard of comfort and cleanliness. Great meals at reasonable prices. Very convenient for public transport, local shopping center, theater and the popular Dandy market. Love it.
Second time I stayed and same great impression. Many plusses: free under cover parking, 24 hrs reception, good size room and bathroom (clean), gym, included breakfast and very friendly staff. Only flaw I found this time is temperature in hallways leading to the rooms, it was quite cold. Good location if you are visiting the southern suburbs of Melbourne
I was attending the 11th Narrow Gauge Railway Convention in Melbourne over Easter 2013, so I wanted a hotel that was not bargain basement, but offered those things that sometimes stick in the craw when they are not offered - breakfast and free internet access for email retrieval, etc. At the Ramada a full hot breakfast was available every day, included in the cost of the room. Internet was available in the room via a Cat 5 cable to a wall outlet (they supplied the cable too!!!) or via Wi-FI in the lobby lounge area. It made keeping in touch that much easier. The staff at the Ramada were very helpful, giving me assistance in parking my very tall trailer in the multi-level car park. The top floor is restricted to 2 mtr high vehicles, but is very handy for coming and going, as the elevators are close by and your room card-key opens the massive roller-door at the entrance to the garage. The Room. European style spartan - timber floors, no doors to wardrobe (clothes hang on hooks attached to the entry foyer). The bathroom was modern with walk-in shower and full glass sink and surround (I've never seen that before). The windows had translucent blinds so seeing in was not a problem during daylight hours. It was easy to forget that at night the light comes from the room, so it was easy for outsiders to see into the room. Fortunately they also had attractive Roman blinds over the windows, so night time was not as problem. The bed was firm, but I had the best sleep I have had in quite a while. It was excellent. If you want shopping, then right across the street is a large shopping centre, complete with a movie theatre. I chose to eat in the hotel's restaurant each night, something I normally avoid. The food at the Ramada was excellent, and not expensive (I was surprised). I would definitely recommend dining here - you won't be disappointed. I stayed four nights here and I didn't regret it. The location was handy to the Puffing Billy Railway, but Melbourne City Centre was a good half hour away by road.
