Hotel is tired and in need of updating, disappointed, does not cover it
Only 1 lift working, took the stairs, reminded me of council flats in centre of london, only thing missing was the smell of urine!! I jest not. corridors in poor condition, room had an unpleasant smell. Room was reasonably clean, but again in need of some love. Dining area not as clean as it could be. Swimming pool, if we did want to use it , forget it, filthy. Staff and food from bar, no complaints. Overall disappointed, the hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. We have stayed in 4 hotels in Australia so far and I'm sorry to say this was the worst by a fair margin, I appreciate we did not pay a fortune, but there is a minimum standard that has to be reached, and they failed miserably
Place was good to stay Good space in the room and appreciated the late checkout Area is easy access to a tram to the city However had difficulty finding fast food places near by
It was fabulous. The room was great and plenty of parking. Easy walk to St Kilda Rd tram.
Every aspect of Bayview needs a facelift. Wall/door repairs (holes etc.), repainting, recarpeting. Could probably do with a bit of soundproofing also (noisy neighbours). The staff were very helpful and gave us a new room when we found our first room hadn't been cleaned properly. Location very good.
Stay away from this hotel. Their Air-conditioning was not working, their tv was not working, room was full of mosquitoes could not sleep whole night. Bathrooms were in very bad condition their pool was booked for private function and no one was allowed to use it. I wish I would'nt have seen this hotel on your website and wasted my money. Now I am scared booking a hotel through your website as well may not use your service next time too. Really bad experience
quiet clean , we had a premier suit very spacious yet the TV could have been bigger for such a room size we where over looking Albert park nice huge pool but the hot spa jets could have been more powerful room menu not over priced as we had room service, was very quick 10/10 for price 8/10 for hotel .
This hotel has been for years a regular stop for business travel. This last visit in November, the room was smelly, the fridge was switched off, no drinks were available in the fridge, the TV was not working and the room service meal was inedible. At over $200 for the night, after a long drive with late check-in, the entire experience was a let-down. Whereas, the other Bayview in the same area - is always a solid contender and have never had issues.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff excellent
The room was dirty. People making loud noise every night 1-5am Staff were called to no avail. We were regular guests. NOT ANY MORE WE Will Stay ELSE WHERE.
1. The room was not clean, dirty bath room. 2. People talking out side all night. We called stall to get them to stop. 3.We stayed three nights and were given the worst room. We have stayed there many times before and only have we asked to be moved because the room was not cleaned, bed pulled up and not made with clean linen.. We won't stay there again.
We had to call duty manager as other guesses were so loud in the hall ways. Room needed a good clean. location was good but we won't be staying again
A very pleasant place to spend an afternoon relaxing.
Too many things wrong with this hotel to know where to begin. It's in desperate need of renovation - as well as basic maintenance. Staff appear to be poorly trained and lacking any inclination towards guest comfort or customer service. Can't really blame them given the depressing environment they work in. Ants in the room topped it off. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
The hotel was better when we thought, Very nicely located to explore Melbourne. The rooms were spotless clean. As it is on Queens Road you can hear the traffic a little bit. We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back there. Wireless internet and parking are usually extras but we got it for free in our deal.
Having read a few negative reviews prior to arriving I was a tad concerned. ..all for no reason. My room was beautiful and exactly as shown on line. The staff were helpful. The shower delightfully hot with great pressure - hmm for the first night. After a long day at a conference I arrived back in my room to find a note under the door apologizing for a faulty hot water system which had affected my floor. An offer was made for a room change but I chose to decline. ..too tired to pack and resettle. The free buffet breakfast the following morning compensated for the lack of a hotime shower. This is an old and tired hotel in some places but the cleanliness, linens and amenities were as required. I would return if I needed to stay near Albert Park in the future. If I may suggest free WiFi. ..the cost was exorbitant for something that can potentially value add at no real cost to the owners.
Stayed for two nights, first night no sleep due to kids next door. Great Motel, but rooms looking a little tired for age. Couldn't fault the room except bed was a little hard!. Great bar and food, reception was ok, didn't have name tags to be able to comment on them. Thought the parking could have been a once of payment not each day as a guest to the motel. The in house pay movie not working that was a shame.
The staff where very friendly even up grade us to bigger room for free. Room was clean and comfortable great pool and spa area
Good location if driving. Bathrooms could do with a reno. Helpful staff.
I believe that the hotel is very tired looking and has a lot of wear and tear through front entry, common areas and room. It doesn't look anything like the images shown on the website. It it rated a 4-star, however I would strongly stress that it's more like a 3-star. I believe it's well overdue for a makeover.
